Youth Ministry Leadership Institute, a collaborative effort with the Office of Continuing Christian Education, is the second level of ongoing formation program for Coordinators of Youth Ministry who have received their Basic Certificate in Youth Ministry and have completed Formation Toward Christian Ministry through the CCE Office. It is a two year program with the first year focusing on advanced skills in ministry and the second year focusing on theology.

National facilitators who are experts in their fields help to facilitate the program by providing the latest information and theories in Catechesis and Youth Ministry.

Criteria for Entrance into the Institute:

·         Practical experience in ministry

·         Completion of Formation Toward Christian Ministry (FTCM)

·         Completion of Basic Certificate in Youth Ministry (BCYM)

·         Two written recommendations (one must be from the Pastor)

·         Interview with the program administrator

 

Requirements:

·         Registration deadline, December 1 of each year

·         Monthly written assignments

·         Attendance @ CYM Retreat (you must register for and pay for the retreat separate from YMLI registration)

·         Yearly practicum
