is a great joy to welcome you to the Co‑Cathedral of the Sacred
Heart. Along with the venerable Basilica in Galveston, this new
Cathedral Church reflects the spiritual ideals and vision of
Galveston-Houston's booming Catholicity. Located in the heart of
Houston, this Cathedral is a landmark testimony of service to
God in the community, inspiring us to remember the compassion
and love of Jesus.
As
we come together united as a family of faith, we are aided in
our approach to God through the vast array of artistic beauty
which this magnificent house of worship offers. The aesthetic
treasures of stained glass, intricately carved statues and
cruciform plan echo the rich heritage we have received as
generations of faith inform our Catholic identity.
